Bud, Not Buddy – by Christopher Paul Curtis

Bud, not Buddy, is an unforgettable character. This young boy doesn't let the circumstances of being black during the Depression keep him. Told with humour and hope, the message of this book is: if you have a dream and are willing to work to make it happen, you can rise above even the most humble beginnings.
